2. Something you’re thankful for

I do have very many things to be thankful for but above all, I’m thankful for my father. It seems nowadays most people say the opposite, but my father is one of the best parents you could wish for. Since the day I was born, he’s always been there to help me and encourage me and push me to make the right choices. He always has my best interests at heart, and is always there to answer my silly questions, cover up for me and put up with my temper tantrums. He doesn’t mind if I come home at 2 in the morning even if I said I wouldn’t be late, and has let me have the freedom and space to be myself. He’s taught me so much and encouraged me to be curious about the world; without him I wouldn’t have my love for history, science, travel or reading. He’s one of the most selfless people I know, in my life I’ve seen him bend over backwards for a friend the needed it. I get so much of my personality from him, and if I end up half the person he is, then I know I’ll have acheived a lot.
